An image’s clarity and sharpness depend on the camera’s resolution. An image that is both sharp and clear will result from a camera with a higher resolution. Choosing a camera with a resolution of 1080p (Full HD) is suggested.
Next important factor is the Field of View of the camera which is its capacity to capture a scene. While for individual calls a camera with a lower Field of View will suffice, a camera with a higher FOV will be needed for capturing a wider audience.
Then what next must be seen is that the camera thus chosen must be compatible with Video Conference platform in use i.e. Microsoft Teams or Zoom etc.
A PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) camera would be good for a Medium Conference Room. This camera can be adjusted remotely to focus on different parts of the room whereas for Large Conference Room one would need multiple PTZ Cameras with high resolution.
Video Conferencing has a large number of benefits such as:
Savings – With Video Conferencing System, need to travel is cut down drastically that results in saving lot of time and expenses.
Increased Participation – People from different remote locations on the globe can join the meeting just with an internet connection.
Enhanced Efficiency – As it is a real-time collaboration, it eliminates the exchange of lengthy emails and then waiting for responses. Matters are closed then and there.
Larger Participation – It is very convenient for those with disabilities and who are not able to move around without causing inconvenience to them.
Recordings—Meetings can easily be recorded and used later for those who could not join or for any future reference.
Environmental Advantage – Since there is no travel involved, a carbon footprint is reduced.
